Out of all the FPS games I’ve played, Rust hands down has the most sporadic spray patterns I've ever tried to control in my life, and even after literally thousands of hours of playing the game I still can't seem to control at least the AK’s spray pattern to its full potential.

Legitimate players who try and learn the recoil patterns for hundreds of hours may master a spray, but what about newer players and players who don’t have the time commitment to be able to constantly be training their patterns day in and day out? Those players who want to just hop on casually and enjoy the game for what it is, just to be killed by someone who can go online and download a cheat client that allows them to have perfect spray control. So what does a recoil pattern have to do with cheaters? Well it's simple if you think about it. I say this because we all can agree that the cheaters in Rust have gotten increasingly worse and on almost every server if not every server there are multiple cheaters if not groups of them. I know that Facepunch a few years back decided to remove the old “random bullet spread” and replaced the mechanic with the now spray patterns, which is fine and all, and I understand what they were going for, but I don't think they realized how much of a disadvantage they were putting most of their player base in.
